Meet Our Aestheticians

Top-Rated Skincare Specialists in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Andy Hodson

Three things my patients should know about me.

I want my patients to feel comfortable and let go of any insecurities when sharing their skin concerns with me. (a lot of time when patients lay down, they start telling me they are embarrassed by their skin and they feel really nervous—I want them to feel comfortable). I will work with them to achieve their skin goals by recommending the best products, services and specialty treatments that are appropriate for them. I get so excited when patients tell me they are getting compliments on their skin and it has never looked better.

Do you have any special trainings or certifications that set you apart from aestheticians working at other companies?

At The Dermatology Clinic, we are trained on every device that we carry: Coolsculpting, Miradry, Sciton BBL, Halo, Profractional, Microlaser Peel, Morpheus, microneedling, and Hydrafacial.

How would you describe your skin type?

I have combination skin with occasional rosacea flare-ups.

How do you maintain healthy skin with your skin type?

I try to keep my routine simple so that I will stick to it. I always use a mixture of Revision Vitamin C, Hydrating serum, and Revox line relaxer in the morning and either a retinol or growth factor at night. I try to get at least 3 BBLs and one bigger treatment (Halo or Morpheus) every year to increase collagen production and help fight off signs of aging.

What skincare product could you not live without and why?

There are so many that I love but I definitely can’t live without the Neocutis products that we carry, especially the Lumiere Firm Riche eye cream.

A fun fact about you.

I was an elementary school teacher before I became an aesthetician.

Taylor Presley

Three things my patients should know about me.

I struggled with acne and have seen an aesthetician at The Dermatology Clinic since high school. That is when I decided to become an aesthetician and I became very passionate about helping others feel confident in their own skin. I pride myself on being very honest with my patients and providing individualized care for my patients.

Do you have any special trainings or certifications that set you apart from aestheticians working at other companies?

I love that we provide so many treatment options to be able to give each patient the best care for their specific concerns. Some of my favorite treatments I am certified in are Microblading + powder brows, CoolSculpting , miraDry, Sciton lasers and Morpheus8

How would you describe your skin type?

Combination & Acne prone.

How do you maintain healthy skin with your skin type?

I like to keep my skincare routine very simple. My favorite products are Revision Brightening Cleanser, Revision Retinol, Revision Vitamin C, Revision DEJ Boosting Serum and Revision Intellishade Original. Microneedling treatments have been great for treating my acne scaring and I love to have a dermaplane + HydraFacial any chance I get!

What skincare product could you not live without and why?

Revision Vitamin C +

A fun fact about you.

I love to paint! I’ve always been more artistic and find it so fun and relaxing

Lauren Morgan

Three things my patients should know about me.

Honest, goal oriented and helpful

Do you have any special trainings or certifications that set you apart from aestheticians working at other companies?

Our doctors make sure we are always up to date on certifications and training. I do think that is what makes us different.

How would you describe your skin type?

My skin is dry and sensitive. I do have rosacea as well.

How do you maintain healthy skin with your skin type?

My routine is pretty simple. I wash my face with Elta MD Enzyme Cleanser twice a day, Revision Vitamin C twice a day, Neocutis Biocream Riche Firm twice a day, Neocutis Lumiere Riche eye cream twice a day followed by Elta MD Physical 41 SPF

What skincare product could you not live without and why?

Biocream Riche, my skin is so dry and reactive. When I have a rosacea episode, it calms and soothes at the same time. Also because my skin is so sensitive I can’t use a retionoid. I get my anti-aging benefits from the peptides in it.

A fun fact about you.

I love to paint!

Amanda Gurtner

Mandy Gurtner

Keep it simple; I incorporate growth factors, brightening agents, and retinols in my skincare, and never leave the house without sunscreen on. I like to do regular dermaplaning and HydraFacials to keep my skin exfoliated and hydrated.

What skincare product could you not live without and why?

Bio serum – this is my holy grail for anti-aging!

A fun fact about you.

I love to try new food!
