Scott Dunbar, M.D.

Dr. Dunbar was born in New Orleans and grew up in Mandeville. After graduating from Mandeville High School, Dr. Dunbar attended Louisiana State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After LSU, Dr. Dunbar received his Medical Doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine where he served in various leadership roles including class president.

Dr. Dunbar completed his internal Medicine internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and his Dermatology Residency at Washington University in St. Louis. After residency, Dr. Dunbar moved back to New York to complete his ACGME- accredited Mohs Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Cosmetic Dermatology fellowship with acclaimed surgeon and laser expert Dr. David Goldberg. Dr. Dunbar has performed thousands of Mohs and skin surgery cases.

Dr. Dunbar has appeared on CBS News, and been quoted on Good Morning America and the Chicago Tribute. He has published multiple scientific articles in the leading Dermatology journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy.

Dr. Dunbar is delighted to return to his home to serve patients at The Dermatology Clinic. He resides in Uptown New Orleans with his wife and two children. For fun, Dr. Dunbar enjoys tennis, cycling, skiing, running, and experiencing the wonderful culture and food of New Orleans.
