Three Common Vanquish Questions Answered

Even individuals at a healthy weight may be displeased by the appearance of certain parts of the body. If you are bothered by fat deposits in the abdomen and thigh area, you may be a candidate for Vanquish. This non-invasive procedure destroys the fat cells in those areas for a slimmer look and reduced circumference. Intrigued? Here are the answers to some of the most common questions our clients ask about Vanquish treatment.

Who Is a Candidate for Vanquish?

Unlike similar procedures, Vanquish has no maximum body mass index (BMI) limit. Individuals of all sizes who are in good health can benefit from fat removal with Vanquish. This radiofrequency treatment is currently approved for abdominal use from flank to flank as well as thigh use. It’s also more cost-effective than similar procedures because it allows for a larger area to be treated in a single session.

How Does Vanquish Work?

With Vanquish, the provider uses radiofrequency to apply heat to fat cells in the treatment areas. This causes these cells to atrophy and eventually be permanently eliminated by the body. Each treatment takes about 45 minutes for the abdomen and 30 minutes for the thigh. During the procedure, you’ll be lying down and may experience a sensation of warmth, but will not feel pain. Most people receive four treatments one week apart, but your individualized treatment plan may vary.

What Is the Recovery Like?

Most people can return to normal activities immediately after treatment. You’ll likely notice results in the treated area within two weeks. The exact reduction in your waist size or thigh circumference will vary depending on your BMI, nutrition and exercise level, and other factors.
